LiftOff Summer Institute
This week-long professional development training for teachers emphasizes science, technology, engineering, and mathematics experiences by incorporating a space science theme supported by NASA missions. Teacher participants are provided with curriculum, materials, and experiences through hands-on activities and field investigations that will promote space science and enrichment activities for themselves and others.
High School Internships
Our Summer Intern Program is a nationally competitive STEM experience for high school students. Interns will learn how to interpret NASA satellite data while working with scientists and engineers in their chosen area of work, including astronomy, remote sensing, and space geodetic techniques to help understand Earth systems, natural hazards and climate science.
Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees
CSR is closely tied to the U.T. Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics — an interdisciplinary department with teaching and research activities in astronautics, earth-space information systems, aviation, energy, robotics, theoretical and experimental mechanics, and computational engineering. Its programs are consistently ranked among the top ten in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report.
Undergraduate and Graduate Research
UT-Austin faculty affiliates at CSR engage graduate and undergraduate students in their research projects. This engagement can extend across Departments and Schools at UT. Interested UT students may identify faculty with related interests on our Research pages, or on the UT Departmental webpages, and directly contact the faculty for further information.
